The West Coast State System is a diversely governed entity with a long history of progress. Residents in the state are represented by a bipartisan legislative branch, which includes the Senate and the Assembly. The governor, currently Gavin Newsom, leads the executive branch and is responsible for implementing state policy. The judiciary branch
